| Registration is now open for the first fall session of the Understanding Web Accessibility course. This course is being offered by the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre (ATRC) at the University of Toronto in collaboration with the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario (ADO). The course focuses on developing an understanding of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0), and is intended for both novice and advanced Web authors and developers. It presents plain language translation of the WCAG 2 guidelines, as well as many practical examples of accessible authoring strategies in practice. The course moderators are Greg Gay, the lead developer on the ATutor and AChecker projects, and a long time accessibility consultant at the ATRC, and Alan Cantor, the President of Cantor Access Inc. accessibility consulting services. Registrants will be able to interact with the expert moderators online, and with each other, to develop their understanding of Web accessibility. The first offering of the course is an intense one week course. The course will also be offered later this fall in a more relaxed four week version for those who can't devote the time required for the intense version of the course.
