First question: I read that ATutor now allows students to send private messages to each other. Are these messages cached so they can be reviewed by the administrator if there is a problem (such as abusive messages or stalking)?

Second question: My original plan was to offer new sessions of several different courses each month. My plan was to make the class available to students at a certain date, have everybody start at the same time in that month's class session, and allow people only to interact with people in the same session they're enrolled in. It appears that ATutor is set up so that students from all classes can interact with each other. For example, students taking the December writing class can interact with students taking the December software class, and all of them can interact with students who signed up for the January session, etc. Am I misunderstanding this?

Thank you! I hope you've having a wonderful holiday season!

1. messages are stored in the database until deleted by the recipient. Otherwise, no caching of personal messages.

2. Disable networking (administrator>modules), and make all courses private, then students will only be able to interact with students in their own classes. You can have multiple copies of the same course to separate enrollees.
