Still didn't work. I don't have access to other systems if you're talking about different OSs. I only have access to Windows boxes. If there aren't too many files maybe we could have each one of them posted?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Erik

There's too many files to attach them all here individually.

Try another windows system, and maybe another unzip application.

I've tried Winzip, are there any other applications you recommend using?

try winrar
www.win-rar.com/download.html

If you are on a winxp system, it is likely the problem. Not all xp systems are a problem, but this issue only seems to occur on XP systems. It is likely a specific xp version that's the trouble.

The other possibility is to upload the file to a linux server somewhere, and unzip it there. If you have shell access to a webserver somewhere.

I just tried it (I used 7zip) and it looked just like the files I originally uploaded. So, the archive looks OK.

Maybe you can download it onto another machine, unzip it, and transfer the files over?

Also, remember that the confnig files are from the version I am running. (1.5.2 I believe), so you'll want to compare the files if you're running a different version.

p.s. You can email me for any help.

I assume ATutor also can be integrated with Joomla using the Mambo-ATutor module with a little bit modifications (or no modifications at all??)??

Ivytony - We have been successful at using the mambo/atutor bridge with Joomla. It worked with no real tweaking for us.

Hi pruffin (Paul),

Thanks for the encouraging reply!

But where can I download the bridge that you are using? Is it at the bottom of the modules page?? here: www.atutor.ca/atutor/modules.php ??

one more thing is: my Joomla site uses Community Builder registration, can I still use that bridge for Joomla-ATutor integration? or I'll have to use the default Joomla registration system for the integration??

Thank you so much happy

I believe that is the one we used. The site we used it for had CB on it and it worked.

one more question:

In the config page of Mambo-ATutor bridge, what is the Path to ATutor (AN URL!!)?

If my website url is: www.uspie.net and ATutor is installed in a directory called 'school' (url: www.uspie.net/school) in the root of my website, the paty to Atutor shall be www.uspie.net/school? But this doesn't migrate Joomla registered users to my ATutor database?? Is the path to Atutor wrong? what is the correct path, then??

Thank you so much!! smile

Are you trying to migrate current users or new users. The path we set in the bridge config file was the relative path ie - ../school.

I know we had to play around with the bridge to make it work and there were a couple of issues we had to deal with. I know we had some issues in the admin panel with the config file.

I am not sure exactly what all we did but I will also get back with you later on that.
