I have successfully installed the certify module (version 0.3) and have enabled it from the administrator's panel. I have also enabled it from the instructor's panel and can see both the Certificates tab and icon from the course home. From the instructor's panel it appears as though I can create a certificate and add the appropriate courses because when I do so I can see the certificate status bar when I go to certificates and I can see the certificate name that I created. The problem is that the status bar always remains at 0% status even when logged in as a student and the tests are complete. The tests are set for attempts "1" with a 85% percentage score and the results are to be released once the quiz is submitted. Tests results are showing up in the Gradebook as well.
How do I correct the problem of the status bar remaining at 0% status?
Things to describe:
Operating system ATutor is installed on - Centos 6.5
ATutor version - 2.1.1
Patch #s applied -
ATutor theme name - Default 2.1
PHP version - 5.3.3
MySQL version - 5.1.71
Webserver & version - Apache/2.2.15
Copies of error messages - No error messages showing
Changes to default settings -
Web browser being used - I.E. & Firefox

Downloaded all the files for Certify from GitHub and reinstalled the module. However, there I no change the Certificates status bar still remains at 0% even upon test completion.

Module is writing to MySQL database, php is working. Tests appear to be setup correctly and all relevant enable boxes are turned on in administrator, instructor and student tools etc.

What am I overlooking that is causing the certify student status bar to remain at 0% under all circumstances?

Have you set a pass score for tests added to a certificate?

It's hard to tell what step you're missing.

Yes I have done tests set with a percentage pass score as well as a points pass score. Have also tried setting the courses to both protected and private. I am pretty sure that I haven't missed a step, it's all pretty straight forward (excellent job on the ATutor btw).

Here is a print screen of the MySQL database tables for the Certify module. In the AT_certify table the certificates can be seen. However, I would think that the associated tests should be seen in the AT_certify_tests table but I don't see them.

From my test of the latest certify module, things seem to be working fine. I've attached a screenshot of the result from setting up two tests, and passing the first one.

I'm not sure what to suggest. I don't see anything in description of the problem you've given that might indicate the problem. It sounds like you've setup right.

I don't know either, we would like to use ATutor but this is a bit of a show stopper for us.

I uninstalled, went to MySQL and deleted the two tables, restarted both MySQL and Apache and then reinstalled. Created a new certificate and set up the tests. Same result....status bar sits at o% and that is as far as things go...........

I was able to duplicate the problem, though I'm not certain why it occurs. I have modified one line which could potentially be the culprit, related to the php version you are using in certify/index.php

highlight_code('

foreach ($certify_certificates as &$certify_id => $certificate){

//chenged to

foreach ($certify_certificates as $certify_id => $certificate) {')

Not sure it will fix the problem. You can either modify the line yourself, or run "git pull" in the certify directory if you are using a git clone of the module.

Upgrading PHP might also resolve the issue.
