hia,

just found a bug related to backups and exports of content.

*backups*

if I create a backup of a course, uploads it to a different course or ATutor install and restores it, only small parts of the content pages are restored (like, the first few hundred charachters)

I've exported and imported the same content between installs and courses before, so this is new with 1.6.1.

also, at one server (with php 4.*) I am redirected to a black page when at manage -> content -> export.

the black page is this:
server/atutor/tools/ims/ims_export.php

on a different server with php 5.* this works

your demo server gives a memory time out when I try it there..

Hi Vegard,

Does this happen when you restore/import 1.6 backup/export into 1.6.1?

Is it the same problem with both restoring backup and importing 1.6 export: only small parts of the content pages are restored?

Can you send me the backup/export that creates the problem?

Thanks.

hia, no this was a backup from an updated 1.6.1 to the same 1.6.1 (but a different course), as well as to a different 1.6.1 server.

have a look at:
www2.helsekompetanse.no/atutor/mpw3/

I tried to restore a backup of that course here:
atutor.no/atutor/1/

several things went wrong here:

* only small parts of the content are restored

* some DIVs are gone it seems, as the links in the content nav is all bold on the front page, while the footer box isn't where it should be in the other places.

this was on two different servers, but the exact same thing happens when I try to backup / restore between different courses at the same server, see:

www2.helsekompetanse.no/atutor/106/

attached the backup here.

Hi Vegard,

Just curious, what browser were you using?

hia, this was Firefox 3 at Ubuntu.

BTW: I did many backups / restores (with the same browser / OS) when I testes 1.6.1 nightlies and betas, with no problem..

I experience the same problem:

Backup course from one 1.6.1 installation -> restores in another 1.6.1 installation = only first couple of lines from each content page gets restored.

FF 3 on Ubuntu.
Both installations reside on the same server.

I found one small remaining bug, which is that there are some extra "s inserted in the course banner area after backup, so you get things like this:

<div class=""mpw-instructions"" >
<p><strong>Guide to module:</strong> You can choose your own path through the module. However, the following sequence is recommended: </p>

<ul>
<li>Read the textbook, and after each lesson follow the link to that lessons test.
<li>Take the test, and use the resume icon in the content navigation ( <img src=""http://www.blah.org/grafikk/atutor-resume.gif"" /> ) to continue with the next lesson in the textbook.
