Subject: open ended question - with an apostropheQuote this post in your reply
When first creating a new Open Ended question it appears that using an apostrophe/single quote in the question text causes a database connection error. Recreate the new open ended question with no apostrophe(s) and the question is saved correctly. Then edit the question and add the appropriate apostrophe(s), and it is saved as expected. (The results of this is that the question text cannot contain any contracted words.)

This is the error message recieved:
The following errors occurred:

ATutor was unable to access the database. If the problem persists, please report this to an Administrator with this date reference (03/11/2017 01:30:42 pm)

To reiterate: this only happens when an apostrophe is used in the question text when first creating an Open Ended type question.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Patch 0009 has been created for ATutor 2.2.2 to resolve the issue.
