Dear Greg,

I attached 2 txt files saved as "UTF-8 encoding" to translate into Spanish "gameme / module.sql" as you indicated in the comments of the YouTube video:

1) gm-mod_sql-EN-1_133.txt = lines 1 to 133

2) gm-mod_sql-EN-1_133-PROBLEMS = with the difficulties of terms that I can not translate because of my ignorance of its context or my lack of knowledge about technical jargon.

I suggest that you check these lines with problems (marked with "***") by someone who is Spanish-speaking and knows technical aspects of programming.

Also, please bear in mind that I have experience as a User of ATutor for 15 years but I do not know its technical aspects and programming codes.

During this starting week, I will translate the lines: "147 to 172" and "194 to 235"

I await your comments or directions,

Best Regards,

Mario

PROBLEMS OF INTERPRETATION
IT DEPENDS ON THE CONTEXT OF TERM OR THE MEANING OF EXPRESSION

> Line 36:

036 INSERT INTO `language_text` VALUES ('es', '_module','gm_reach_reps','Reach Reps',NOW(),'');

"Reach" = "Alcanzar"
"Reps" = ¿? (could be "representante" o "representantes" o "representaciones"...

*** Reps is short form for "repetitions"

- - - - - - - - - - -

> Line 42 and 43

The term "Callback" is considered an expression of computer language, literally translated into Spanish would be "callback" (call someone back or a technical function) but I do not know if that translation is correct in the context of those functions of GameMe.

*** I'm not sure if there would be a Spanish translation for "callback." Being a programming term, it may be the same word in Spanish.

- - - - - - - - - - -

> Line 63

063 *** INSERT INTO `language_text` VALUES ('es', '_module','gm_enable_edit','Enable inline edit',NOW(),'');

"Enable inline edit" is a common expression in computer jargon, but I have problems translating the term "inline" because I do not know the context of the sentence:

*** perhaps interpret inline as "within line." Or, this maybe one of those terms that is the same in Spanish and English

Enable = Habilitar o Permitir
Inline = ("between lines?" "online?" "...?")
Edit = Editar o Edición

The wording in Spanish should be: 'Edición "inline" habilitada'

- - - - - - - - - - -

> Line 87 and 87

Idem Line "42" and "43" with the term "callback". NOTE: I suggest to leave "callback" without translating, it is as the case of the expression "Login" is a word in English that is not usually translated because every computer user knows that it refers to identifying with an account to use a web or system

**** I agree. Leave "callback" as it is.

**** I will add your translation to the module as is. Once people start using it, if there are adjusments needed, we can make them then.

Then it should be:

'Alcanzar Reps' (not frequent abbreviated 'reps' but administrators will understand)

- - - - - - - - - -

> Line 42, 43, 87 and 88

Ok! Leave the term "Callback" untranslated (it will be understood)

- - - - - - - - - -

> Line 63

If "Enable withing line edit", then it should be:

'Habilitar edición dentro de la línea'

It does not work.

1) Download on my pc "atutor-gameme-1.0.zip"

2) In the "modules" tab select "install modules"> "select file" (I choose the zip)

3) Click on "Install" and give the screen that I attached

4) On the server has been created ... / mods / _MACOSX containing the directory "gameme" (which includes 52 files and 4 directories) and the file "._gameme"

Any suggestions of what may be going on and how to solve it?

Thanks for that. I've created another bundle, which should not have the Mac files. Download from:

It works! I'm doing quick tests and everything seems fine. I am going to practice the configuration and I will comment you when you find some problem. GameMe looks great! smile

When the student or instructor logout, "logout.php" gives an error page 500; If I disable GameMe this error does not occur and everything works fine.

Please, could you tell me what I should check. I have already made two attempts to delete and reinstall GameMe assuming that it was an installation error; But the error occurs when the GameMe module is enabled.

I have activated badges:

If you deactivate the Logout badge, does it help?

Did you change the Logout badge after copying it to Course Badges?

No. I am using everything without making any changes, except translating the texts from English into Spanish in the "Spanish language"

1. Does it only occur after translating?

2. Are there any special characters in the translation?

3. Are you able to access the php_errors.log file to see what the error is?

I have not been able top reproduce the problem myself.
